THE RIGHT FUNDING PATHWAY FOR THE BUSINESS YOU ARE BUILDING
Assessor-led strategic advisory for women founders who are ready to fund their next stage of growth. Understand your options. Strengthen your position. Make capital decisions with clarity.
You have the vision. Now you need the funding strategy to match it.
This is a bespoke 1:1 strategic advisory for high-growth founders. Master your capital narrative, optimise your operational model, and navigate funding rounds with objective clarity - grounded in the experience that comes with evaluating hundreds of pitch decks and funding applications representing over $100M in collective raises.
FUND YOUR GROWTH
You are not here because you need to prove the business. You are here because you need to fund it.
Your business is operating. Customers are buying. Revenue is coming in. What you are working through now is how to fund what comes next.
That starts with understanding which pathway fits, what it will cost you in time and effort, and what the business needs before you step into your next funding conversation.
Together, we define your funding goals, understand what capital is required, and map the most practical options across the next 6, 12, and 18 months.
This is not about chasing every opportunity. It is about the right pathway for the business you are actually building, and understanding what your current position is already costing you in lost opportunity.
When we know the average grant application takes 34 working days to prepare and there is no significant correlation between time invested and success rate. Effort is never the problem. Fundability is.
Every Funding Decision has a Trade-off.
It's time to focus on “which funding is right for you and your business?”
Grants can support innovation, impact, research, export, or growth. Debt can help accelerate revenue-generating activity without giving away equity. Angel investment can bring capital, networks, and strategic support. Venture capital can support faster growth, but it also brings expectations around scale, return, and control.
Each pathway has advantages. Each pathway has trade-offs.
This advisory helps you understand those trade-offs clearly, so you can make funding decisions that support the business you are actually trying to build.
I’m Lisa, and I’ve sat on both sides of the table.
At the start of my entrepreneurial journey, I was offered $500k in angel investment.
On paper, it looked like an opportunity. In reality, it came with personal guarantees and a minority share in the business I was building. As a single mother with a primary school-aged child, I said no. The risk was too high.
That experience changed the way I thought about funding.
I knew I needed to understand how capital really moves, who controls it, what different funders expect, and what the trade-offs look like for founders making serious growth decisions.
Since then, I have worked across grants, sustainability finance, venture capital, innovation startups, and funding assessment. I spent time as an associate analyst for two global sustainability funds, stepped into the world of VC and innovation, assessed more than $100M in funding applications and pitch decks, and helped founders secure millions in funding.
I also secured more than $2.4million in grant funding to fuel growth throughout my own journey. So when I talk about funding strategy, I am not speaking from theory.
I understand how founders think. I understand how funders assess risk. And I understand the gap that often sits between a strong business vision and a fundable opportunity.
Why This Advisory Stands Apart
There are dozens of people who can help you refine a pitch, write an application, or prepare a business plan.
This work ... it's different. It starts earlier and goes deeper. We look at your business, your growth goal, the funding options, and the readiness required to pursue them.
The aim is not to make the business look fundable. The aim is to make better funding decisions and to build the commercial foundations that make funding a more predictable outcome.
What the advisory covers:

- Pathway mapping across all funding products
- Detailed readiness assessment
- Evidence and credibility review
- F4G database of funders, with warm introductions

- Partnership and funder alignment
- Implementation planning
- Personalised tracking and reporting dashboard
Assessor intelligence.
Purpose-built tools. No guesswork.
Most advisors work from general business principles. We don't.
This advisory is built on something more specific: two decades of direct experience on both sides of the funding decision.
That means you are not being guided through a generic framework. You are working with someone who understands how funding decisions are actually made — what assessors look for, what investors weight most heavily, and where strong businesses consistently lose ground in the process.
Alongside the advisory sessions, you have access to the FUNDiD tool suite: purpose-built for funding decisions.
These tools help you:
- Map your funding strategy across multiple pathways and time horizons
- Build and review the evidence base that supports your funding case
- Assess the commercial logic and narrative behind your ask
- Identify the gaps most likely to cost you at the assessment stage
The tools support the thinking. The advisory shapes the strategy. Together, they give you a clearer, more credible funding readiness position - sooner.
A Clear Path From Funding Ambition to Funding Readiness...
Start with the Baseline
We assess where the business is today, what is already in place, and where the main funding friction points sit.
Define the Funding Goals
We clarify how much capital may be required, what it will be used for, and what milestones matter across the next 6, 12 and 18 months.
Map the Pathways
We compare grants, debt, angel & VC investment, partnerships, and other funding options against your business model and growth goals.
Strengthen What Matters
We identify the areas that need attention before you approach funders, investors, lenders, or partners and then, together, we prioritise improvements by impact.
Track Progress
We build an improvement plan and track progress as the business becomes more fundable. Readiness is not a fixed state. It improves when you know where to focus.
This advisory is not for every founder. It is designed for a very specific one.
You have already built something valuable. Revenue is coming in. Customers exist. The business is operating.
What you're working through now is not whether the business is viable but instead, how to fund what comes next without compromising what you've already built.
Builder
You've proven people will buy. Revenue is coming in. Now you're asking how to accelerate growth without creating unnecessary risk.
Visionary
You can see the bigger opportunity. The challenge is not the vision. It is identifying the right funding pathway and understanding what needs to happen first.
Operator
You're wearing too many hats. You know funding could unlock capacity, capability, or growth, but you don't have time to chase every lead that lands in your inbox.
Strategist
You're not looking for quick money. You're looking for the right capital partner, the right timing, and a pathway that aligns with the business you're building.
The Accelerator is designed for founders generating $250K or more in annual revenue. The Scale & Impact programme is designed for founders generating $500K or more. If you are earlier in your revenue journey, FUNDiD is the right starting point.
Is This the Right Fit for Your Business?
This advisory is a selective engagement. It is designed for founders who are ready to make serious decisions about how they fund their next stage of growth.
Who This Is For
Women founders generating $250K or more in annual revenue who are preparing for a funding conversation across grants, debt finance, angel investment, venture capital, or a blended strategy.
Founders who want an objective, assessor-literate strategic partner to help them understand their options and strengthen their position before they approach any funder.
Leaders who value clarity over speed and want to make funding decisions that align with the business they are building, not just the capital that is most immediately available.
Who This Is NOT For
Idea-stage startups without market validation or baseline traction.
Founders looking for someone to magically write their pitches for them without their input.
Anyone looking for low-cost, generic business coaching or accountability hand-holding.
