Why I Built Funding4Growth

I’m Lisa Erhart. I am a technologist, a funding strategist, and a solo parent. I came into this world, like many others, fighting for a better life. I built a sustainability consultancy from the ground up and I learned funding the hard way—by fighting for it. I secured over $4.2 million in grants not by luck, but by dedicating time, effort and energy understanding the system.

Then, I sat on the other side of the table.

As an assessor reviewing over $50 million in applications, I saw the same heartbreaking pattern over and over: Applications from Brilliant, innovative women were being rejected.

Not because their ideas weren't good enough. But because they looked "different." They lacked the one thing investors look for: operational muscle. The automation, data, and systems that male-led companies take for granted.

Passion alone doesn't get funded. Proof does.

I decided that if the system wasn't going to change fast enough, I would build the tools women need to break-through.
